Gardening, Dreaming, Yoga & Sound Bath Day Retreat

In the words of Alice in Wonderland... 

"You can learn a lot of things from the flowers".

This is a day filled with love and flowers and fairy things...

...from deep meditation, to a healing sound bath, to chakra balancing yoga, to sketching, to journaling, to creating a board of dreams, to planting actual seeds, to mystical Mother Ocean views, to a sumptuous vegan feast, to sharing space with other special souls... 

...this is your day for working on soul, creation, hope & dreams.

The Soulwork's owner, yogini, Jessica O'Mahoney is from a lineage of women who were known across little South African communities for their rose gardens, and their green fingers, and their wildness, and their ability to make anything grow... From birth, Jessica grew up in the soil, and after leaving home her mother tried and tried to make her garden, telling her... 

"All of life's lessons, you will learn ...by loving a garden."

And so, of course, she did the opposite of what she was told, simply because she was told to do it. Until last year when she had a dream, where a voice told her... "you can make a beautiful flower garden... Plant the flowers close together". And it showed her what it would like. Since then, Jessica has spent nearly everyday covered in soil, growing things. And the amount of joy and soul lessons she has learnt since are countless.

The day will begin in the glass box surrounded by heart-stopping vast blue, from the sparkly sea to the blue above...

You will be lead on a chakra-balancing slow yoga flow, designed to balance you, physically and energetically, followed by a guided meditation and sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls that she sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas. After you are cleansed, serene and relaxed, you will move on to a scrummy vegan lunch, cooked with local, organic, seasonal ingredients and lots of love. In front of you, and all around will be healing and mysterious Mother Ocean.

You will then learn about manifestation and energy, and how to raise your vibrations. Jessica's journey with manifestation has been an interesting one, from the age of 12. After that, she will hold space for circle, journaling and safe-space sharing. Circle is a space where we can Be, just as we are, in the moment and know deeply that we are lovingly accepted, held, honoured, and nurtured. 

After this, you will begin to put your dreams onto paper, decorating your own vision board to take home with you. You will be supplied with natural decor materials and a cork board; bring cut outs and print outs of your soul's longings.

You will then move to the garden where you will be taught everything she knows about growing things, and you will make your own magical hanging basket to take home with you (who knows, and maybe you will take home the gardening bug too?...). As you plant your seeds, you will be led on a wishing ceremony to plant your dreams too. Lastly, you will sit alone in the garden for freesketching and reflecting, to end this magical day.
